We're Going Offline!

Hello everyone,

Just a quick note to let you know that we're going to be offline for a few days starting in the morning of June 11. When we come back up on or around June 15, we'll have a big new look and it'll all be unlike anything you've seen from us before!

Hang tight,
Sabina

I'd also like to introduce you to our summer assistant library_tinacb - look for her on the forums and chats! She is excited to talk books with you. Her favorites are Chick Lit, esp the Shopaholic series! We'll be sending reminders to all the branches about upcoming chats so you won't miss ones you want to participate in.

Working on the Summer Chat Schedule!

Hello everyone,

Some of the authors are poets, some are vampire and horror writers, some write for kids, others for adults, and many for teens. If you want information about any of these authors now, you can do a web search for them. We'll be putting up information about them on the new site!

July 7 - 7 pm - Author Glenda Goertzen
July 8 - 7 pm - Author Beverley Brenna
July 9 - 7 pm - Chick Lit/Romance Books with Eryn D.

Just a little hint...

Wondering what the 2009 site will look like this coming June? Here's just a wee little hint for you all:

Fun, eh? We hope you like it so far -- if you're lucky, you may get another taste before the big release! ;-)

For this week only - Book Chat on Friday Dec 26 at 7 pm Pacific

The book chat is moved this week to Friday at 7 pm Pacific, spend Christmas with your family on Thursday instead!
Hope to see you there!

TeenSRC is the coolest, but what else is there?

A question's arisen about what people can do when they turn 18, or even 19 (...gasp...) and are too old for TeenSRC.

One option is Canada Reads, run by the CBC - http://www.cbc.ca/canadareads/ - they have a forum and prizes, too! Don't forget to read the fine print - often boring but important.
